    • Kendriya Vidyalaya Baddowal Cantt came into existence in 1984 with affiliation number 1600019.

    Important milestones of growth

    In 2005 the Vidyalaya was upgraded to twelveth with commencement of Commerce stream.
    The drawings of 7.99 acres of land for Vidyalaya building is in final stage.

    Details of previous and new campus :

    Initially the Vidyalaya started working in Army Barracks in July 1984. It was shifted to temporary Building in October 1985 and till date it is running in that building.

    Facilities available including games and sports facilities.

    The Vidyalaya has got a well stocked library with more than 7600 books on various subjects and two modernized Computer Labs with 46 computers and internet facility. Spacious football ground, Kho-kho ground, Badminton court, Long jump , triple jump court, 2 Play grounds, Swings for the students of primary section.

    Location and Building

    Kendriya Vidyalaya is located in the campus of Baddowal Cantt. Situated on the Ferozepur Road about 8 kilometer from Ludhiana City.The cantonment which houses the Vidayalaya is safe, secure nestled in sylvan surroundings, far from the polluted environment of Ludhiana, Baddowal is well connected with both bus and rail links within 1 kilometer radius. The Vidyalayas was established in July 1984 to cater to the needs of the children of defence personnel serving in the installations of Dholewal Cantt and Jagraon Bridge, Paramilitary forces like ITBP, Central excise, Banks and other government and Semi government organizations. The wards of retired personnel are also benefited by this Vidyalaya. The school is up to twelveth class with commerce stream. Each class has two sections and each section has 35 to 40 students. Hence there is ample scope for individual attention.
